Transforming Young People's Lives Together

Committed to providing outstanding nurture and care for children and young people from all over the United Kingdom.

Welcome to Bayleaf Care

Our work transforms the lives of children and young people who have been affected by trauma, through specialist therapeutic services.

We believe that we have something we want to give and share with others and from which many children and young people could benefit.

Bayleaf Care is committed to providing outstanding nurture and care for children and young people from all over the United Kingdom. It is recognised that providing a high standard of care for children who have experienced severe trauma in their formative years is a challenging and complex task. Our approach is based on a therapeutic model called PACE. This approach is a way of thinking, feeling, and being aware of our conduct that aims to make the child feel safe and cared for. The approach is based on how parents connect with their own children to build positive relationships and attachment.

The genesis of our work is with the keyworker, as it is important for the child to form a safe and secure attachment with one individual rather than expecting them to negotiate multiple relationships soon after their arrival. In essence, the keyworker plays a crucial role for our children and young people throughout the duration of their placement and beyond.

Bayleaf Care provides individualised, therapeutic care, treatment and education that is overseen by a multidisciplinary team of highly trained and professional staff members. The focus is to help children learn to manage their emotions and behaviours through the development of safe and trusting relationships within a group setting.

Our Mission

Bayleaf Care is a non-government-maintained child-care organisation whose primary goal is to provide treatment and therapeutic care to children and young people aged five to seventeen who have been referred by local placing authorities from all over the United Kingdom.
